tataḥ1 priyam = that pleasant; vākyam = instruction; upetya = upon receiving; rākṣasāḥ = rākṣasas; mahā-artham = of great significance; aṣṭau = the eight; abhivādya = offered their respects; rāvaṇam = to Rāvaṇa; vihāya = left; laṅkām = Laṅkā; sahitāḥ = jointly; pratasthire = and departed; yataḥ janasthānam = for the forest Janasthāna; alakṣya-darśanāḥ = so quickly that their forms could not be seen.
