Chapter 55: Rāvaṇa Flatters Sītā
Text 3.55.28
दुष्कृतं यत्पुरा कर्म वनवासेन तद्गतम्।
यश्च ते सुकृतो धर्मस्तस्येह फलमाप्नुहि॥
duṣkṛtaṁ yat purā karma vana-vāsena tad gatam
yaś ca te sukṛto dharmas tasyeha phalam āpnuhi
duṣkṛtam yat = sinful activities; purā = for your previous; karma = karmic reactions; vana-vāsena = by [your] residence in the forest; tat = the; gatam = have been destroyed; yaḥ ca1 te = your; sukṛtaḥ = [previous] pious; dharmaḥ = activities; tasya = of; iha = here in Laṅkā; phalam = the results; āpnuhi = attain.
The karmic reactions for your previous sinful activities have been destroyed by [your] residence in the forest. Attain the results of your [previous] pious activities here in Laṅkā!
