Chapter 56: Sītā is Taken to Aśoka-vana
Text 3.57.23
एवमुक्त्वा तु वैदेही क्रोधात्सुपरुषं वचः।
रावणं मैथिली तत्र पुनर्नोवाच किञ्चन।।
evam uktvā tu vaidehī krodhāt suparuṣaṁ vacaḥ
rāvaṇaṁ maithilī tatra punar novāca kiñcana
evam = these; uktvā tu = after speaking; vaidehī = Vaidehī; krodhāt = in anger; suparuṣam = very harsh; vacaḥ = words; rāvaṇam = to Rāvaṇa; maithilī = the princess of Mithilā; tatra = in this regard; punaḥ = else; na = not; uvāca = did speak; kiñcana = anything.
After speaking these very harsh words in anger, Vaidehī, the princess of Mithilā, did not speak anything else to Rāvaṇa in this regard.
