Chapter 60: Rāma Searches for Sītā
Text 3.60.18
यदि ताल त्वया दृष्टा पक्वतालफलस्तनी।
कथयस्व वरारोहां कारुण्यं यदि ते मयि॥
yadi tāla tvayā dṛṣṭā pakva-tāla-phala-stanī
kathayasva varārohāṁ kāruṇyaṁ yadi te mayi
yadi = if; tāla = O tāla tree; tvayā = you have; dṛṣṭā = seen; pakva-tāla-phala-stanī = whose breasts resemble ripened tāla fruits; kathayasva = tell [Me]; vara-ārohām = the beautiful lady; kāruṇyam = [any] compassion; yadi = if; te = you have; mayi = upon Me.
O tāla tree, if you have [any] compassion upon Me, tell [Me] if you have seen the beautiful lady whose breasts resemble ripened tāla fruits.
