Chapter 64: Rāma Discovers Some Clues About Sītā’s Whereabouts
Text 3.64.42
मन्ये लक्ष्मण वैदेही राक्षसैः कामरूपिभिः।
भित्त्वाभित्त्वा विभक्ता वा भक्षिता वा भविष्यति॥
manye lakṣmaṇa vaidehī rākṣasaiḥ kāma-rūpibhiḥ
bhittvā bhittvā vibhaktā vā bhakṣitā vā bhaviṣyati
manye = I think that; lakṣmaṇa = Lakṣmaṇa; vaidehī = Vaidehī; rākṣasaiḥ = the rākṣasas; kāma-rūpibhiḥ = who can assume any form they desire; bhittvā bhittvā = have repeatedly cut; vibhaktā vā = into pieces; bhakṣitā = eaten her up; vā = or; bhaviṣyati = must.
Lakṣmaṇa, I think that the rākṣasas who can assume any form they desire must have repeatedly cut Vaidehī into pieces or eaten her up.
