Chapter 71: Kabandha’s Past Life
Text 3.71.5

स मया याचितः क्रुद्धः शापस्यान्तो भवेदिति।
अभिशापकृतस्येति तेनेदं भाषितं वचः॥

sa mayā yācitaḥ kruddhaḥ śāpasyānto bhaved iti
abhiśāpa-kṛtasyeti tenedaṁ bhāṣitaṁ vacaḥ

saḥ = that; mayā = I; yācitaḥ = begged; kruddhaḥ = angry [sage]; śāpasya = to this curse; antaḥ = an end; bhavet iti = let there be; abhiśāpa-kṛtasya = caused by [my] condemned [behavior]; iti =  when; tena = he; idam = the following; bhāṣitam = spoke; vacaḥ = words.

When I begged that angry [sage], “Let there be an end to this curse caused by [my] condemned [behavior],” he spoke the following words.
