Chapter 73: Kabandha Requests Śrī Rāma to Visit Śabarī
Text 3.73.27
न तत्राक्रमितुं नागाः शक्नुवन्ति तमाश्रमम्।
विविधास्तत्र वै नागा वने तस्मिंश्च पर्वते॥
na tatrākramituṁ nāgāḥ śaknuvanti tam āśramam
vividhās tatra vai nāgā vane tasmiṁś ca parvate
na = not; tatra = there; ākramitum = of attacking; nāgāḥ = [though] elephants; śaknuvanti = still are capable; tam = the; āśramam = āśrama; vividhāḥ = [there are] several; tatra vai = there; nāgāḥ = elephants; vane = forest; tasmin = in the; ca = and; parvate = the mountain.
[There are] several elephants in the forest and the mountain there. Still, [those] elephants are not capable of attacking the āśrama there.
The mountain is Ṛśyamūka. The forest will be described [in the following verses].
