Chapter 74: Lord Rāma Visits Śabarī
Text 3.74.1
तौ कबन्धेन तं मार्गं पम्पाया दर्शितं वने।
प्रतस्थतुर्दिशं गृह्य प्रतीचीं नृवरात्मजौ॥
tau kabandhena taṁ mārgaṁ pampāyā darśitaṁ vane
pratasthatur diśaṁ gṛhya pratīcīṁ nṛ-varātmajau
tau = the two; kabandhena = by Kabandha; tam = on the; mārgam = path; pampāyāḥ = by Pampā; darśitam = as shown; vane = in the forest; pratasthuḥ = set out; diśam gṛhya = turning towards; pratīcīm = the east; nṛ-vara-ātmajau = princes.
Turning towards the east, the two princes set out on the path in the forest by Pampā, as shown by Kabandha.
Till now, devotional service unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead and its result have been shown. This chapter describes steady adherence to one’s spiritual masters and its result.
