Chapter 10: Ṛśyaśṛṅga Comes to Romapada’s kingdom
Text 1.10.27
श्रुत्वा तु वचनं तासां सर्वासां हृदयङ्गमम्।
गमनाय मतिं चक्रे तं च निन्युस्तदा स्त्रियः॥
śrutvā tu vacanaṁ tāsāṁ sarvāsāṁ hṛdayaṅgamam
gamanāya matiṁ cakre taṁ ca ninyus tadā striyaḥ
śrutvā tu = hearing; vacanam = words; tāsām = of them; sarvāsām = of all; hṛdayam-gamam = the charming; gamanāya = to go [with them]; matim cakre = made up his mind; tam ca = him; ninyuḥ = brought him; tadā = then; striyaḥ = the ladies.
Hearing the charming words of all of them, he made up his mind to go [with them]. The ladies then brought him.
They brought him by getting him onto a boat on Gaṅgā. This is described in the Mahābhārata.
