Chapter 10: Ṛśyaśṛṅga Comes to Romapada’s kingdom
Text 1.10.29
हर्षेणैवागतं विप्रं विषयं स्वं नराधिपः।
प्रत्युद्गम्य मुनिं प्रह्वः शिरसा च महीं गतः॥
harṣeṇaivāgataṁ vipraṁ viṣayaṁ svaṁ narādhipaḥ
pratyudgamya muniṁ prahvaḥ śirasā ca mahīṁ gataḥ
harṣeṇa = in delight; eva = sheer; āgatam = who had arrived; vipram = to meet the brāhmaṇa; viṣayam = at kingdom; svam = his; nara adhipaḥ = the king; pratyudgamya = came out; munim = and offered the sage; prahvaḥ = the king was humble; śirasā ca = his head; mahīm = to the ground; gataḥ = obeisances, touching.
In sheer delight, the king came out to meet the brāhmaṇa who had arrived at his kingdom. The king was humble and offered the sage obeisances, touching his head to the ground.
