Chapter 11: Daśaratha Brings Ṛśyaśṛṅga to Ayodhyā
Text 1.11.21
तथेति राजा संश्रुत्य गमनं तस्य धीमतः।
उवाच वचनं विप्रं गच्छ त्वं सह भार्यया॥
tatheti rājā saṁśrutya gamanaṁ tasya dhīmataḥ
uvāca vacanaṁ vipraṁ gaccha tvaṁ saha bhāryayā
tathā iti = agreeing with him; rājā = King Romapāda; saṁśrutya = decided; gamanam = would go; tasya = that the; dhīmataḥ = intelligent Ṛśyaśṛṅga; uvāca = and so he spoke; vacanam = the following words; vipram = to the brāhmaṇa; gaccha tvam = please go; saha = with; bhāryayā = your wife.
Agreeing with him King Romapāda decided that the intelligent Ṛśyaśṛṅga would go, and so he spoke the following words to the brāhmaṇa: “Please go with your wife.”
