Canto 1 - Boyhood
Bāla-kāṇḍa
Chapter 11: Daśaratha Brings Ṛśyaśṛṅga to Ayodhyā
Text 1.11.25

क्रियतां नगरं सर्वं क्षिप्रमेव स्वलङ्कृतम्।
धूपितं सिक्तसम्मृष्टं पताकाभिरलङ्कृतम्॥

kriyatāṁ nagaraṁ sarvaṁ kṣipram eva svalaṅkṛtam
dhūpitaṁ
sikta-sammṛṣṭaṁ patākābhir alaṅkṛtam

kriyatām = have; nagaram = city; sarvam = the entire; kṣipram eva = quickly; svalaṅkṛtam = well decorated; dhūpitam = perfumed with incense; sikta-sammṛṣṭam = watered, cleansed; patākābhiḥ = with flags; alaṅkṛtam = and ornamented.

Quickly have the entire city well decorated, perfumed with incense, watered, cleansed and ornamented with flags.

Svalaṅkṛtam indicates that King Daśaratha wanted Ayodhyā to be decorated with flowers, plantain trees, etc.
