Chapter 11: Daśaratha Brings Ṛśyaśṛṅga to Ayodhyā
Text 1.11.28

ततः प्रमुदिताः सर्वे दृष्ट्वा तं नागरा द्विजम्।
प्रवेश्यमानं सत्कृत्य नरेन्द्रेणेन्द्रकर्मणा॥

tataḥ pramuditāḥ sarve dṛṣṭvā taṁ nāgarā dvijam
praveśyamānaṁ
satkṛtya narendreṇendra-karmaṇā

tataḥ pramuditāḥ = became satisfied; sarve = all of; dṛṣṭvā = seeing; tam = that; nāgarāḥ = the citizens; dvijam = twiceborn sage; praveśyamānam = entering; satkṛtya = the city and honored; nara indreṇa = by King Daśaratha; indra-karmaṇā = who was himself as powerful as Indra.

Seeing that twiceborn sage entering the city and honored by King Daśaratha, who was himself as powerful as Indra, all of the citizens became satisfied.

The king’s activities such as his prowess were like that of Indra, and he honored the twiceborn Ṛśyaśṛṅga with ornaments from the city and so on.
