Chapter 11: Daśaratha Brings Ṛśyaśṛṅga to Ayodhyā
Text 1.11.29
अन्तःपुरं प्रवेश्यैनं पूजां कृत्वा विधानतः।
कृतकृत्यं तदात्मानं मेने तस्योपवाहनात्॥
antaḥ-puraṁ praveśyainaṁ pūjāṁ kṛtvā vidhānataḥ
kṛta-kṛtyaṁ tadātmānaṁ mene tasyopavāhanāt
antaḥ-puram = to the inner quarters; praveśya = having brought; enam = Ṛśyaśṅga; pūjām kṛtvā = having honored him; vidhānataḥ = according to the scriptural regulations; kṛta-kṛtyam = accomplished; tadā ātmānam = himself; mene = Daśaratha considered; tasya = him; upavāhanāt = in his goals because of having brought here.
Having brought Ṛśyaśṅga to the inner quarters, having honored him according to the scriptural regulations, Daśaratha considered himself accomplished in his goals because of having brought him here.
