Chapter 13: Daśaratha Goes to the Sacrificial Arena
Text 1.13.30
वसिष्ठवाक्यं तच्छ्रुत्वा सुमन्त्रस्त्वरितस्तदा।
व्यादिशत्पुरुषांस्तत्र राज्ञामानयने शुभान्॥
vasiṣṭha-vākyaṁ tac chrutvā sumantras tvaritas tadā
vyādiśat puruṣāṁs tatra rājñām ānayane śubhān
vasiṣṭha-vākyam = words of Vasiṣṭha; tat = the; śrutvā = upon hearing; sumantraḥ = Sumantra; tvaritaḥ tadā = quickly; vyādiśat = dispatched; puruṣān = men; tatra = there; rājñām = the kings; ānayane = to bring; śubhān = confidential.
Upon hearing the words of Vasiṣṭha, Sumantra quickly dispatched confidential men to bring the kings there.
