Chapter 15: The Demigods Appeal to the Lord for Protection
Text 1.15.8
उद्वेजति लोकांस्त्रीनुच्छ्रितान्द्वेष्टि दुर्मतिः।
शक्रं त्रिदशराजानं प्रधर्षयितुमिच्छति॥
udvejati lokāṁs trīn ucchritān dveṣṭi durmatiḥ
śakraṁ tridaśa-rājānaṁ pradharṣayitum icchati
udvejati = he terrifies; lokān = worlds; trīn = the three; ucchritān = the elevated loka-pāla demigods; dveṣṭi = hates; durmatiḥ = that evil minded one; śakram = Indra; tridaśa-rājānam = the king of the demigods; pradharṣayitum = to overturn and make fall from his position; icchati = he desires.
He terrifies the three worlds. That evil minded one hates the elevated loka-pāla demigods. He desires to overturn and make Indra, the king of the demigods, fall from his position.
