Chapter 26: The Killing of the Demoness Tāṭakā
Text 1.26.5
गोब्राह्मणहितार्थाय देशस्यास्य सुखाय च।
तव चैवाप्रमेयस्य वचनं कर्तुमुद्यतः॥
go-brāhmaṇa-hitārthāya deśasyāsya sukhāya ca
tava caivāprameyasya vacanaṁ kartum udyataḥ
go-brāhmaṇa-hita-arthāya = for the welfare of the cows and brāhmaṇas; deśasya = of country; asya = this; sukhāya ca = as well as the happiness; tava ca eva = of your good self; aprameyasya = of immeasurable greatness; vacanam = the instructions; kartum = to carry out; udyataḥ = I am prepared.
For the welfare of the cows and brāhmaṇas as well as the happiness of this country, I am prepared to carry out the instructions of your good self of immeasurable greatness.
