Chapter 31: Viśvāmitra, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa Depart for Mithilā
Text 1.31.23

अथ रामो महातेजा विश्वामित्रं महामुनिम्।
पप्रच्छ नरशार्दूलः कौतूहलसमन्वितः॥

atha rāmo mahā-tejā viśvāmitraṁ mahā-munim
papraccha
nara-śārdūlaḥ kautūhala-samanvitaḥ

atha = then; rāmaḥ = Rāma; mahā-tejāḥ = the greatly powerful; viśvāmitram = Viśvāmitra; mahā-munim = the great sage; papraccha = asked; nara-śārdūlaḥ = a tiger among men; kautūhala-samanvitaḥ = filled with curiosity.

Then, the greatly powerful Rāma, a tiger among men, filled with curiosity, asked the great sage Viśvāmitra.
