Bāla-kāṇḍa
Chapter 32: The History of Kuśanābha and His Daughters
Text 1.32.11-12

तास्तु यौवनशालिन्यो रूपवत्यः स्वलङ्कृताः।
उद्यानभूमिमागम्य प्रावृषीव शतह्रदाः॥

गायन्त्यो नृत्यमानाश्च वादयन्त्यश्च सर्वशः।
आमोदं परमं जग्मुर्वराभरणभूषिताः॥

tās tu yauvana-śālinyo rūpavatyaḥ svalaṅkṛtāḥ
udyāna-bhūmim
āgamya prāvṛṣīva śata-hradāḥ

gāyantyo nṛtyamānāś ca vādayantyaś ca sarvaśaḥ
āmodaṁ
paramaṁ jagmur varābharaṇa-bhūṣitāḥ

tāḥ tu = those; yauvana-śālinyaḥ = youthful; rūpavatyaḥ = and beautiful girls; svalaṅkṛtāḥ = nicely decorated with sandalwood paste, tilaka markings and so on; udyāna-bhūmim āgamya = came to a garden; prāvṛṣi iva = during the monsoon; śata-hradāḥ = they resembled lightnings; gāyantyaḥ = singing; nṛtyamānāḥ ca = dancing; vādayantyaḥ  ca = and playing the vīṇā; sarvaśaḥ = all of them; āmodam paramam jagmuḥ = became extremely happy; vara-ābharaṇa-bhūṣitāḥ = decorated with excellent ornaments.

Those youthful and beautiful girls, nicely decorated with sandalwood paste, tilaka markings and so on, came to a garden. They resembled lightnings during the monsoon. Singing, dancing and playing the vīṇā, all of them, decorated with excellent ornaments, became extremely happy.
