किमिदं कथ्यतां पुत्र्यः को धर्ममवमन्यते।
कुब्जाः केन कृताः सर्वा चेष्टन्त्यो नाभिभाषथ।
श्रोतुमिच्छामि तं पुत्र्यो यस्येदं कर्म गर्हितम्॥
kim idaṁ kathyatāṁ putryaḥ ko dharmam avamanyate
kubjāḥ kena kṛtāḥ sarvā ceṣṭantyo nābhibhāṣatha
śrotum icchāmi taṁ putryo yasyedaṁ karma garhitam
kim idam = what is this; kathyatām = tell me; putryaḥ = my daughters; kaḥ = who; dharmam = dharma; avamanyate = has violated; kubjāḥ = hunchbacked; kena kṛtāḥ = who has made you; sarvāḥ ceṣṭantyaḥ = all of you are merely gesturing [while crying]; na-abhibhāṣatha = without telling [me anything]; śrotum icchāmi = I want to know; tam = about the one; putryaḥ = my daughters; yasya idam karma garhitam = who has performed this abominable activity.
My daughters, tell me, what is this? Who has violated dharma? Who has made you hunchbacked? All of you are merely gesturing [while crying] without telling [me anything]. My daughters, I want to know about the one who has performed this abominable activity.
