Chapter 34: Satyavatī, Viśvāmitra’s Elder Sister
Text 1.34.19
एवमुक्त्वा महातेजा विरराम महामुनिः।
साधुसाध्विति तं सर्वे ऋषयो ह्यभ्यपूजयन्॥
evam uktvā mahā-tejā virarāma mahā-muniḥ
sādhu sādhv iti taṁ sarve ṛṣayo hy abhyapūjayan
evam = this; uktvā = having said; mahā-tejāḥ = of great prowess; virarāma = became silent; mahā-muniḥ = the great sage; sādhu sādhu iti = “sadhu! sadhu!”; tam = him; sarve ṛṣayaḥ hi = all of the sages; abhyapūjayan = honored.
Having said this, the great sage of great prowess became silent. All of the sages honored Viśvāmitra by saying, “Sādhu! Sādhu!”
