Chapter 36: Umā Curses the Demigods
Text 1.36.16
यदिदं क्षुभितं स्थानान्मम तेजो ह्यनुत्तमम्।
धारयिष्यति कस्तन्मे ब्रुवन्तु सुरसत्तमाः॥
yad idaṁ kṣubhitaṁ sthānān mama tejo hy anuttamam
dhārayiṣyati kas tan me bruvantu sura-sattamāḥ
yat idam kṣubhitam sthānāt = [the power of] the remainder; mama tejaḥ hi anuttamam = of my unbearable powerful semen; dhārayiṣyati kaḥ = who can bear; tat me bruvantu = please tell me this; sura-sattamāḥ = O best of the demigods.
Who can bear [the power of] the remainder of my unbearable powerful semen? O best of the demigods, please tell me this.
