तथा ब्रुवति काकुत्स्थे विश्वामित्रस्तपोधनः।
निखिलेन कथां सर्वामृषिमध्ये न्यवेदयत्॥

tathā bruvati kākutsthe viśvāmitras tapo-dhanaḥ
nikhilena
kathāṁ sarvām ṛṣi-madhye nyavedayat

tathā = thus; bruvati = when spoke; kākutsthe = the descendants of Kakutstha; viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; tapaḥ dhanaḥ = whose wealth was austerity; nikhilena = in detail; kathām = about Gaṅgā; sarvām = everything; ṛṣi-madhye = in the midst of the sages; nyavedayat = described.

When the descendants of Kakutstha spoke thus, Viśvāmitra whose wealth was austerity described everything They had asked in the midst of the sages.

Viśvāmitra spoke about Gaṅgā’s appearance in the celestial world and human world. This is his answer to Lord Rāma’s first question.
