Chapter 38: The History of Sagara
Text 1.38.7
अपत्यलाभः सुमहान्भविष्यति तवानघ।
कीर्तिं चाप्रतिमां लोके प्राप्स्यसे पुरुषर्षभ॥
apatya-lābhaḥ sumahān bhaviṣyati tavānagha
kīrtiṁ cāpratimāṁ loke prāpsyase puruṣa-rṣabha
apatya-lābhaḥ = number of children; sumahān = a very great; bhaviṣyati tava = you will have; anagha = O sinless one; kīrtim ca = fame; apratimām = on earth; loke prāpsyase = therefore you will attain; puruṣa-rṣabha = O best of men.
O sinless one, O best of men, you will have a very great number of children. Therefore, you will attain unparalleled fame on earth.
