Chapter 4: Kuśa and Lava Meet Lord Rāmacandra
Text 1.4.21
अन्यः कृष्णाजिनं प्रादाद्यज्ञसूत्रमथापरः।
कश्चित्कमण्डलुं प्रादान्मौञ्जीमन्यो महामुनिः॥
anyaḥ kṛṣṇājinaṁ prādād yajña-sūtram athāparaḥ
kaścit kamaṇḍaluṁ prādān mauñjīm anyo mahā-muniḥ
anyaḥ = one; kṛṣṇājinam = the skin of a black antelope for sitting; tadā prādāt = gifted them; yajña-sūtram = a sacred thread; atha = and; aparaḥ = another; kaścit =someone; kamaṇḍalum = a kamaṇḍalu; prādāt = gave them; mauñjīm = [gave them] a mauñjī girdle; anyaḥ = another; mahā-muniḥ = a great sage.
One gifted them the skin of a black antelope for sitting and another a sacred thread. Someone gave them a kamaṇḍalu. Another, a great sage, gave them a mauñjī girdle.
