Chapter 47: King Sumati Approaches Viśvāmitra
Text 1.47.8
सर्वमेतद्यथोक्तं ते भविष्यति न संशयः।
विचरिष्यन्ति भद्रं ते देवरूपास्तवात्मजाः॥
sarvam etad yathoktaṁ te bhaviṣyati na saṁśayaḥ
vicariṣyanti bhadraṁ te deva-rūpās tavātmajāḥ
sarvam etat yathā-uktam te = all that you have said; bhaviṣyati na saṁśayaḥ = will undoubtedly happen; vicariṣyanti = will wander about; bhadram te = may there be auspiciousness unto you; deva-rūpāḥ = in the form of devas; tava-atmajāḥ = and your sons.
May there be auspiciousness unto you. All that you have said will undoubtedly happen and your sons will wander about in the form of devas.
