Having come to Siddhāśrama, these heroic sons of Daśaratha killed the rākṣasas who obstructed my sacrifice and have arrived at this land. Upon hearing Viśvāmitra’s words about Their residence at Siddhāśrama, the slaughter of the rākṣasas, and so on, the king became extremely delighted. Having attained superexcellent guests in the form of the two sons of Daśaratha, in accordance with the scriptural regulations, he honored those mighty-armed princes who were fit to be honored.
“And so on” here indicates that Viśvāmitra told the king that these sons of Daśaratha were departing to Mithilā to see Lord Śiva’s bow.
