Chapter 49: Lord Rāmacandra Delivers Ahalyā
Text 1.49.11
तदाप्रभृति काकुत्स्थ पितृदेवाः समागताः।
अफलान्भुञ्जते मेषान्फलैस्तेषामयोजयन्॥
tadā-prabhṛti kākutstha pitṛ-devāḥ samāgatāḥ
aphalān bhuñjate meṣān phalais teṣām ayojayan
tadā-prabhṛti = from that time onwards; kākutstha = O descendant of Kakutstha; pitṛ-devāḥ = pitṛ-devas; samāgatāḥ = the assembled; aphalān = without testicles [offered in sacrifice]; bhuñjate = accept; meṣān = rams; phalaiḥ teṣām ayojayan = and grant the benefits of offering rams with testicles.
O descendant of Kakutstha, from that time onwards, the assembled pitṛ-devas accept rams without testicles [offered in sacrifice] and grant the benefits of offering rams with testicles.
