Chapter 49: Lord Rāmacandra Delivers Ahalyā
Text 1.49.23
गौतमो हि महातेजा अहल्यासहितः सुखी।
रामं सम्पूज्य विधिवत्तपस्तेपे महातपाः॥
gautamo hi mahā-tejā ahalyā-sahitaḥ sukhī
rāmaṁ sampūjya vidhivat tapas tepe mahā-tapāḥ
gautamaḥ hi = Gautama; mahā-tejāḥ = of great prowess; ahalyā-sahitaḥ = with Ahalyā; sukhī = happy; rāmam = Lord Rāma; sampūjya = worshipped; vidhivat = in line with the scriptural regulations; tapaḥ tepe = then went to perform [further] austerities in his āśrama; mahā-tapāḥ = that person of great austerity.
Gautama of great prowess, happy with Ahalyā, worshipped Lord Rāma in line with the scriptural regulations. That person of great austerity then went to perform [further] austerities in his āśrama.
