Chapter 51: King Viśvāmitra Arrives at Vasiṣṭha’s Āśrama
Text 1.51.13
स्वागतं ते नरश्रेष्ठ दिष्ट्या प्राप्तोऽसि राघव।
विश्वामित्रं पुरस्कृत्य महर्षिमपराजितम्॥
svāgataṁ te nara-śreṣṭha diṣṭyā prāpto ‘si rāghava
viśvāmitraṁ puraskṛtya maha-rṣim aparājitam
svāgatam te = welcome; nara-śreṣṭha = prince; diṣṭyā = by the will of Providence; prāptaḥ asi = You have come to us; rāghava = Rāghava; viśvāmitram = Viśvāmitra; puraskṛtya = keeping in front of You; mahā-ṛṣim = he is a great sage; apara-ajitam = and unconquerable by others.
Prince Rāghava, welcome! By the will of Providence, You have come to us, keeping Viśvāmitra in front of You. He is a great sage and unconquerable by others.
