Chapter 52: Śabalā, Vasiṣṭha’s Wish-fulfilling Cow

स्वागतं तव चेत्युक्तो वसिष्ठेन महात्मना।
आसनं चास्य भगवान्वसिष्ठो व्यादिदेश ह॥
svāgataṁ tava cety ukto vasiṣṭhena mahātmanā
āsanaṁ cāsya bhagavān vasiṣṭho vyādideśa ha
svāgatam tava = welcome; ca = also; iti uktaḥ = said; vasiṣṭhena = Vasiṣṭha; mahā-ātmanā = the great soul; āsanam ca asya = a seat for Viśvāmitra [to sit on]; bhagavān = the powerful; vasiṣṭhaḥ = Vasiṣṭha; vyādideśa ha = then had brought.
The great soul Vasiṣṭha also said, “Welcome!” The powerful Vasiṣṭha then had a seat brought for Viśvāmitra [to sit on].
