Chapter 54: Śabalā Attacks King Viśvāmitra’s Army

निर्धूय तांस्तदा भृत्याञ्शतशः शत्रुसूदन।
जगामानिलवेगेन पादमूलं महात्मनः॥
nirdhūya tāṁs tadā bhṛtyāñ śataśaḥ śatru-sūdana
jagāmānila-vegena pāda-mūlaṁ mahātmanaḥ
nirdhūya = shaking herself off; tān tadā bhṛtyān śataśaḥ = those hundreds of soldiers; śatru-sūdana = O destroyer of enemies; jagāma = she reached; anila-vegena = with the speed of the wind; pāda-mūlam = the feet; mahā-ātmanaḥ = of the great soul Vasiṣṭha.
O destroyer of enemies, shaking herself off those hundreds of soldiers, with the speed of the wind, she reached the feet of the great soul Vasiṣṭha.
