Bāla-kāṇḍa
Chapter 58: King Triśaṅku Cursed
Text 1.58.25

तस्य मे परमार्तस्य प्रसादमभिकाङ्क्षतः।
कर्तुमर्हसि भद्रं ते दैवोपहतकर्मणः॥

tasya me paramārtasya prasādam abhikāṅkṣataḥ
kartum
arhasi bhadraṁ te daivopahata-karmaṇaḥ

tasya me = upon me who; parama-ārtasya = is extremely distressed; prasādam = merciful; abhikāṅkṣataḥ = hankers for your mercy and; kartum arhasi = you should be; bhadram te = May there be auspicousness unto you; daiva-upahata-karmaṇaḥ = because my auspicious activities have been baffled by destiny.

You should be merciful upon me who hankers for your mercy and is extremely distressed because my auspicious activities have been baffled by destiny. May there be auspiciousness unto you.

Triśaṅku wanted Viśvāmitra to bestow on him the sort of mercy that was favorable to destiny.
