Chapter 63: Viśvāmitra Falls Prey to Lust
Text 1.63.10
अथ काले गते तस्मिन्विश्वामित्रो महामुनिः।
सव्रीड इव संवृत्तश्चिन्ताशोकपरायणः॥
atha kāle gate tasmin viśvāmitro mahā-muniḥ
savrīḍa iva saṁvṛttaś cintā-śoka-parāyaṇaḥ
atha kāle gate tasmin = after sometime; viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; mahā-muniḥ = the great sage; savrīḍaḥ iva saṁvṛttaḥ = overcome by embarrassment; cintā-śoka-parāyaṇaḥ = became afflicted with anxiety and grief.
After some time the great sage Viśvāmitra, overcome by embarrassment, became afflicted with anxiety and grief.
