Canto 1 - Boyhood
Bāla-kāṇḍa
Chapter 64: Viśvāmitra Falls Prey to Anger
Text 1.64.14

ब्राह्मणः सुमहातेजास्तपोबलसमन्वितः।
उद्धरिष्यति रम्भे त्वां मत्क्रोधकलुषीकृताम्॥

brāhmaṇaḥ sumahā-tejās tapo-bala-samanvitaḥ
uddhariṣyati
rambhe tvāṁ mat-krodha-kaluṣī-kṛtām

brāhmaṇaḥ = Lord Brahmā’s son; sumahā-tejāḥ = of extremely great power; tapaḥ-bala-samanvitaḥ = endowed with the strength of austerity; uddhariṣyati = will deliver; rambhe = O Rambhā; tvām = you; mat-krodha-kaluṣī-kṛtām = who have become contaminated by my anger.

O Rambhā, Lord Brahmā’s son of extremely great power, endowed with the strength of austerity, will deliver you who have become contaminated by my anger.

Viśvāmitra then thought, “Why did I curse this lady who was under the control of her master?” and repented. Then he blessed her as described in this verse. “Lord Brahmā’s son” here refers to Vasiṣṭha.
