Chapter 64: Viśvāmitra Falls Prey to Anger
Text 1.64.15
एवमुक्त्वा महातेजा विश्वामित्रो महामुनिः।
अशक्नुवन्धारयितुं क्रोधं सन्तापमागतः॥
evam uktvā mahā-tejā viśvāmitro mahā-muniḥ
aśaknuvan dhārayituṁ krodhaṁ santāpam āgataḥ
evam uktvā = having said this; mahā-tejāḥ = of great prowess; viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; mahā-muniḥ = the great sage; aśaknuvan = for he had been unable; dhārayitum = to contain; krodham = his anger; santāpam āgataḥ = became repentent.
Having said this, the great sage Viśvāmitra of great prowess became repentent, for he had been unable to contain his anger.
