Chapter 65: Viśvāmitra Becomes a Brahmarṣi
Text 1.65.36
एवमुक्त्वा मुनिश्रेष्ठं वैदेहो मिथिलाधिपः।
प्रदक्षिणं चकाराशु सोपाध्यायः सबान्धवः॥
evam uktvā muni-śreṣṭhaṁ vaideho mithilādhipaḥ
pradakṣiṇaṁ cakārāśu sopādhyāyaḥ sabāndhavaḥ
evam uktvā = having spoken thus; muni-śreṣṭham = to the best of sages; vaidehaḥ = Janaka; mithilā-adhipaḥ = the ruler of Mithilā; pradakṣiṇam cakāra = circumambulated him; āśu = quickly; sa-upādhyāyaḥ = in the association of his priests; sa-bāndhavaḥ and friends.
Having spoken thus to the best of sages, Janaka, the ruler of Mithilā, quickly circumambulated him in the association of his priests and friends.
