Chapter 69: Daśaratha Reaches Mithilā

इत्युक्त्वा स महातेजा राजा दशरथो रथम्।
आरुरोह यथा भानुर्भगवान्रघुनन्दनः॥
ity uktvā sa mahā-tejā rājā daśaratho ratham
āruroha yathā bhānur bhagavān raghu-nandanaḥ
iti = this; uktvā = having said; saḥ mahā-tejāḥ rājā daśarathaḥ = King Daśaratha of great prowess; ratham = onto his chariot; āruroha = climbed; yathā = like; bhānuḥ = sun-god; bhagavān = the powerful; raghu-nandanaḥ = the beloved descendant of Raghu.
Having said this, King Daśaratha of great prowess, the beloved descendant of Raghu, climbed onto his chariot like the powerful sun-god.
