क्रोधात्कामार्थहेतोर्वा न ब्रूयुरनृतं वचः॥
krodhāt kāmārtha-hetor vā na brūyur anṛtaṁ vacaḥ
krodhāt = out of anger; kāma-artha-hetoḥ = for the sake of sense enjoyment or economic success; vā = or; na = never; brūyuḥ = they spoke; anṛtam = an untrue; vacaḥ = statement.
They never spoke an untrue statement out of anger or for the sake of sense enjoyment or economic success.
