Chapter 70: Rāma’s Noble Lineage
Text 1.70.13
अयोध्याधिपते वीर वैदेहो मिथिलाधिपः।
स त्वां द्रष्टुं व्यवसितः सोपाध्यायपुरोहितम्॥
ayodhyādhipate vīra vaideho mithilādhipaḥ
sa tvāṁ draṣṭuṁ vyavasitaḥ sopādhyāya-purohitam
ayodhya-adhipate = O ruler of Ayodhyā; vīra = O hero; vaidehaḥ = Vaideha; mithilā-adhipaḥ saḥ = the ruler of Mithilā; tvām = you; draṣṭum = to see; vyavasitaḥ = is waiting; sa-upādhyāya-purohitam = along with your gurus and priests.
O ruler of Ayodhyā, O hero, Vaideha, the ruler of Mithilā, is waiting to see you along with your gurus and priests.1
1 Vaideha is King Janaka, the ruler of the land known as Videha.
