Chapter 70: Rāma’s Noble Lineage

एवमुक्ते तु वचने शतानन्दस्य सन्निधौ।
आगताः केचिदव्यग्रा जनकस्तान्समादिशत्॥
evam ukte tu vacane śatānandasya sannidhau
āgatāḥ kecid avyagrā janakas tān samādiśat
evam = these; ukte tu = when he spoke; vacane = words; śatānandasya = of Śatānanda; sannidhau = in the presence; āgatāḥ = arrived there; kecit = some of Janaka’s men; avyagrāḥ = who were not busy with other responsibilities; janakaḥ = and Janaka; tān = them; samādiśat = instructed [to assist Śatānanda in this regard].
When he spoke these words in the presence of Śatānanda, some of Janaka’s men who were not busy with other responsibilities arrived there and Janaka instructed them [to assist Śatānanda in this regard].
