Chapter 71: Sītā’s Noble Lineage

राजाभूत्त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुतः स्वेन कर्मणा।
निमिः परमधर्मात्मा सर्वसत्त्ववतां वरः॥
rājābhūt triṣu lokeṣu viśrutaḥ svena karmaṇā
nimiḥ parama-dharmātmā sarva-sattvavatāṁ varaḥ
rājā abhūt = there was a king; triṣu lokeṣu = in the three worlds; viśrutaḥ = famous; svena karmaṇā = due to his pious activities; nimiḥ = by the name Nimi; parama-dharma-ātmā = his mind was fixed in the highest dharma; sarva-sattvavatām varaḥ = he was the best of the powerful.
There was a king famous in the three worlds due to his pious activities by the name Nimi. His mind was fixed in the highest dharma. He was the best of the powerful.
