विश्वामित्रो महातेजा विदेहाधिपतेः करम्।
कुशध्वजस्य हस्तं च वसिष्ठो भगवानृषिः।
गृहीत्वा प्राविशच्छिष्यैः सहितौ द्विजपुङ्गवौ॥

kuśadhvajasya hastaṁ ca vasiṣṭho bhagavān ṛṣiḥ
gṛhītvā prāviśac chiṣyaiḥ sahitau dvija-puṅgavau
viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; mahā-tejāḥ = of great prowess; videha-adhipateḥ = of the Lord of Videha; karam = [holding] the hand; kuśadhvajasya = of Kuśadhvaja; hastam ca = the hand; vasiṣṭhaḥ = Vasiṣṭha; bhagavān ṛṣiḥ = and the powerful sage; gṛhītvā = holding; prāviśat = entered [the wedding platform]; śiṣyaiḥ sahitau = with their disciples; dvija-puṅgavau = the two excellent brāhmaṇas.
The two excellent brāhmaṇas—Viśvāmitra of great prowess, [holding] the hand of the Lord of Videha, and the powerful sage Vasiṣṭha, holding the hand of Kuśadhvaja—entered [the wedding platform] with their disciples.
