Chapter 75: The History of the Bows of Lord Śiva and Lord Viṣṇu

Text 1.75.11

इमे द्वे धनुषी श्रेष्ठे दिव्ये लोकाभिविश्रुते।
दृढे बलवती मुख्ये सुकृते विश्वकर्मणा॥

ime dve dhanuṣī śreṣṭhe divye lokābhiviśrute
dṛḍhe balavatī mukhye sukṛte viśvakarmaṇā

ime dve dhanuṣī = [Paraśurāma said:] there are two bows; śreṣṭhe = that are excellent; divye = celestial; loka abhiviśrute = famous all over the world; dṛḍhe = firm; balavatī = strong; mukhye = important; sukṛte = and carefully created; viśvakarmaṇā = by Viśvakarmā.

[Paraśurāma said:] There are two bows famous all over the world that are excellent, celestial, firm, strong, important and carefully created by Viśvakarmā.
