Chapter 3: Daśaratha Informs Rāma About his Decision
Text 2.3.13
अन्तःपुरस्य द्वाराणि सर्वस्य नगरस्य च।
चन्दनस्रग्भिरर्च्यन्तां धूपैश्च घ्राणहारिभिः॥
antaḥ-purasya dvārāṇi sarvasya nagarasya ca
candana-sragbhir arcyantāṁ dhūpaiś ca ghrāṇa-hāribhiḥ
antaḥ-purasya = of the king’s residence; dvārāṇi = the doors; sarvasya = [the doors] all over; nagarasya = the city; ca = and; candana-sragbhiḥ = with sandal, garlands; arcyantām = decorate; dhūpaiḥ = fragrances; ca = and; ghrāṇa-hāribhiḥ = captivating.
Decorate the doors of the king’s residence and [the doors] all over the city with sandal, garlands and captivating fragrances.
