Chapter 3: Daśaratha Informs Rāma About his Decision
Text 2.3.29
घर्माभितप्ताः पर्जन्यं ह्लादयन्तमिव प्रजाः।
न ततर्प समायान्तं पश्यमानो नराधिपः॥
gharmābhitaptāḥ parjanyaṁ hlādayantam iva prajāḥ
na tatarpa samāyāntaṁ paśyamāno narādhipaḥ
The king was not satiated by seeing Rāma approaching him. Rāma was like a cloud delighting the citizens tortured by the heat of summer.
The king saw Rāmacandra without blinking his eyes. He was not satiated by seeing Rāma, by realizing Him to be his ever fresh object of love.
