Chapter 3: Daśaratha Informs Rāma About his Decision
Text 2.3.34
तस्मै चाभ्युदितं सम्यङ्मणिकाञ्चनभूषितम्।
दिदेश राजा रुचिरं रामाय परमासनम्॥
tasmai cābhyuditaṁ samyaṅ-maṇi-kāñcana-bhūṣitam
dideśa rājā ruciraṁ rāmāya paramāsanam
tasmai ca = Prince; abhyuditam = it was tall; samyak-maṇi-kāñcana-bhūṣitam = ornamented fully with gems set in gold; dideśa = ordered to sit; rājā = the king; ruciram = and pleasing; rāmāya = Rāma; parama-āsanam = on an exalted throne.
The king ordered Prince Rāma to sit on an exalted throne. It was tall, ornamented fully with gems set in gold and pleasing.
