Chapter 4: Daśaratha’s Anxiety About Coronating Rāma
Text 2.4.28
इत्युक्तः सोऽभ्यनुज्ञातः श्वो भाविन्यभिषेचने।
व्रजेति रामः पितरमभिवाद्याभ्ययाद्गृहम्॥
ity uktaḥ so ’bhyanujñātaḥ śvo bhāviny abhiṣecane
vrajeti rāmaḥ pitaram abhivādyābhyayād gṛham
iti = thus; uktaḥ = after was informed; saḥ = He; abhyanujñātaḥ = was permitted to leave; śvaḥ = the next day; bhāvini = due; abhiṣecane = about the coronation; vraja = “[Now] go!”; iti = by the instruction; rāmaḥ = Rāma; pitaram = unto His father; abhivādya = He then offered His respectful obeisances and; abhyayāt = left; gṛham = for His home.
After Rāma was thus informed about the coronation due the next day, He was permitted to leave by the instruction, “[Now] go!” He then offered His respectful obeisances unto His father and left for His home.
