ततो यथावद्रामेण स राज्ञो गुरुरर्चितः।
अभ्यनुज्ञाप्य काकुत्स्थं ययौ रामनिवेशनात्॥
tato yathāvad rāmeṇa sa rājño gurur arcitaḥ
abhyanujñāpya kākutsthaṁ yayau rāma-niveśanāt
tataḥ = then; yathāvat = properly; rāmeṇa = Rāma; saḥ rājñaḥ = the king’s; guruḥ = spiritual master; arcitaḥ = honored; abhyanujñāpya = Having sent back; kākutstham = the descendant of Kakutstha; yayau = Vasiṣṭha departed; rāma-niveśanāt = from Rāma’s residence.

Then Rāma honored the king’s spiritual master properly. Having sent back the descendant of Kakutstha, Vasiṣṭha departed from Rāma’s residence.
. Rāma had come out of His residence to send off Vasiṣṭha who then sent Him back into His residence.
