Chapter 5: Vasiṣṭha Prepares Rāma for the Coronation
Text 2.5.26

तदग्र्यरूपं प्रमदागणाकुलं महेन्द्रवेश्मप्रतिममं निवेशनम्।
विदीपयंश्चारु विवेश पार्थिवः शशीव तारागणसङ्कुलं नभः॥

tad agrya-rūpaṁ pramadā-gaṇākulaṁ
mahendra-veśma-pratimamaṁ niveśanam
vidīpayaṁś cāru viveśa pārthivaḥ
śaśīva tārā-gaṇa-saṅkulaṁ nabhaḥ

tat = that; agrya-rūpam = was excellent in beauty; pramadā-gaṇa-ākulam = filled with beautiful women; mahā-indra-veśma-pratimamam = and equal to the house of the great Indra; niveśanam = residence; vidīpayan = the dazzling; cāru = his charming; viveśa = entered; pārthivaḥ = the king; śaśī = moon; iva = just as; tārā-gaṇa-saṅkulam = crowded with stars; nabhaḥ = [enters] the sky.

The king entered his charming residence that was excellent in beauty, filled with beautiful women and equal to the house of the great Indra, just as the dazzling moon enters the sky crowded with stars.

1 This is standard etiquette. When one’s worshippable superior stands up to honor his worshippable superior, subordinates of the former should also stand up to co-honor the latter.
